The Jeep is back on the road. Had a hell of a time replacing the clutch after the POS Sachs clutch ate shit
. Got everything
back together and the flywheel started kissing the CPS. Found a thread where someone had the same issue using the stock flywheel, so I figured there must be a little play between the POS Chrysler 3.8L and the POS Merc six speed. Added a washer to the CPS and everything is running smooth. Just in time as the radiator on my wife’s BMW decided to die...again.
Swapping out the rear fenders tomorrow.

I felt like you were close to getting rid of the X1 a year ago after you (eventually) replaced the water pump or some other thing. Does my memory betray me?

The radiator, which was replaced under warranty, had failed, and they were giving me bullshit about replacing it. BMW denied the warranty claim but my dealer replaced it for free.
